Harry decides to help his idol, a down-and-out magician, who goes on to help himself to Harry's possessions.


Harry meets an elderly magician that he idolized as a child, and invites him to his apartment for a private performance. The gang arrive at Harry's apartment to find it stripped bare.

Plot Summary

Comic magician Carl Ballantine (remember him as "Gruber" on McHale's Navy?) guest stars as The Fabulous Falconi, a childhood idol of Judge Harry T. Stone (Harry Anderson). Discovering that Falconi is broke and homeless, magic aficionado Harry hires the old prestidigator for a private performance in his apartment. Falconi returns the favor by making several things disappear--including most of Harry's valuables!
