Eda Reiss Merin (July 31, 1913-March 31, 1998) guest starred as Gertrude Stuckey, a woman brought into court to stand trial for breaking into a grocery store and shoplifting a case of cat food in the Season 2 episode of Night Court titled "Pick a Number" (episode #4). Eda is the mother of actress Jennifer Merin.


A veteran character actress form the 1940s through the 1990s, Eda is perhaps best known for her roles in the movies Ghostbusters (1984), Turner & Hooch (1989), and Don't Tell Mom the Babysitter's Dead (1991).

Eda died of natual causes at her home in Los Angeles in 1995.
