Melvin Hall is a character who appears in the Season 4 episode of Night Court titled "Earthquake". The part of Melvin is played in the episode by Charles Bouvier, who also appeared as Elmore Watkins in the episode "Nuts About Harry" in Season 2, then as Sidney Frizzell in "The Wheels of Justice: Part 1" also in Season 2.
In the episode, two Japanese wrestlers were brought into court along with Melvin, a spectator at a wrestling match in Madison Square Garden, got disappointed, and then completely furious, when he found out that the wrestling match which he expected to see was not a pro wrestling match but a sumo match as he charged the ring and started yelling Where's the grappling!? Where's the hitting!!?, echoing the sentiment he echoed when he's presented before the court: "No choking, No biting, No gouging...not one ounce of blood!" after which he called the wrestlers "tubby sissies!", starting an altercation for which the police was called.
Judge Stone ended up fining Melvin for his part in instigating the altercation.
