About Mother Frances

When Sister Sara Williams (Dinah Manoff), a nun who was in court to testify against Mr. Pina (Michael Tucci) a robber who tried to snatch her purse, who bcomes smitten with him,  he reluctantly agrees to take her out to dinner, as she dropped by his chambers the next day to reveal she's decided to leave her convent, which he does the very next evening.

When Harry has to pick Sara up and take her back to his chambers to nap a sober up after she had a mixed drink (a Harvey Wallbanger) that she couldn't handle at the Japenese/Italian restaurant that they went to, Mother Frances, her superior, drops by to retreive Sara and return her to the convent and assures Harry that she'll get the counseling that she needs to make the smoother adjustment back to civilian life in the "secular world".

She then quotes the proverb "God has chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise. God has chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty".

In describing sister Sister Sara's dilemma in seeing her passed out on the couch in Harry's chambers, Mother Frances was able to make "A wild guess" about what caused it as she guesses "Harvey Wallbanger?" as she says that as a nun, Sara "Just couldn't cut it", as she also elabotares that she just didn't have "the drive or the determination (she says that Lou Pinella had it), and that she could tell as she also says that "it was reflected in the way she worked, the way she prayed...The way she spiked the volleyball into Sister Regina's face!"

Upon leaving Judge Stone's chambers, Mac asks her about the chances of the New York Yankees winning it all, as she replies "They haven't got a prayer...at least not mine!"
