About Quon Le and Mac
Quon Le was a girl that Mac met in Vietnam during the war. He helped out her family and she fell in love with him. When she came to the United States, Mac married her so she could stay in the country. After a while, Mac returned her feelings and they decided to stay married.
In the episode "Take My Wife, Please" in Season 2, Mac is reunited with Quon Le, who was from a family a poor refugees in Vietnam; she met Mac as a teen during his service in the Vietnam War when her family let Mac stay at their home while he was injured, Quon Le as she was trying to become a naturalized American citizen, was somewhat naive about America and its customs, but was loving and very devoted to Mac.
Not wanting her to be deported, Mac married her to keep her in the country, but, after reaizing that they were falling in love with each other, decided with her to keep the marriage intact; the couple would soon have a daughter, Renee Flicka Robinson.
